Our family story begins in a small Portuguese kitchen where bread rose every morning and coffee pulled strong enough to start a day. When we immigrated to California, we brought those rituals with us. Not as a concept. As a way of living.
In 2004, we opened Euro Café with one belief. the feeling you get in a true European café can exist here. A place where greetings come before orders. Where espresso is pulled with attention, not automation. Where food is simple, generous, and made by people who care.
Those early days were just a handful of tables, a tiny kitchen, and recipes carried from home. But the community showed up. first for the coffee, then for the warmth, and eventually for the catering that took our kitchen far beyond our four walls.
Twenty years later, the rhythm hasn't changed. Coffee still pulls by hand. Bread still bakes daily. Guests still hear their names before their orders. What has grown is the family… the regulars, the cyclists, the students, the teams, the neighbors who made this café their ritual.
This is Euro Café. A Portuguese family's way of serving Claremont with heart, consistency, and food that feels familiar the moment it lands.
